Mayfair Restoration
Michael French Associates were appointed as surveyors and project managers for alterations and restoration of the University Women's Club, the oldest club for women in London.
They were instructed to draw up a full survey report for possible refurbishments. In order to tailor these to the Club's purse, it was agreed to proceed with works in stages as funds became available. The Club's prime source of income was through the letting of its bedrooms, making their refurbishment, together with the bathrooms, which were doubled in number, an immediate priority. The antiquated plumbing and heating system was largely replaced whilst the club continued normal operations.
